Hello friends, today I would like to share with you a segment of interior design proces.
Interior design is a complex and multifaceted service that requires us interior designers to wear many hats in order for to carry out a design project from initial meeting to a finished and executed design.
We are at any given time creatives, project managers, negotiators ,and counselors if needed.
Our job as interior designers is to use all of our abilities in a way that will be the most effective ,and in order to create design that will fit our clients best.
Every designer or decorator has their own unique method and there is no right or wrong way, just what works the best for each designer. I am sharing here our design creative process and I personally find it that for our clients is the most effective in communicating our thoughts in a way that is easy to visualize and understand .
We start with rough sketches, color palette and we move on to selecting textures and finishes . After we nailed down those we will move on furnishings selection and lighting selection. Once we have our selection down we move on to sketching and rendering in order to be able to effectively communicate our ideas with clients, vendors, craftspeople and various contractors.
For me this is my favorite phase of designing because I get to play with colors and textures ,and I get to use my creativity.
Below is a design study for formal dining room and bedroom. I have enjoyed working on both rooms immensely, specially since both clients are not afraid of color and pattern mixing so that makes it more fun .
Cheers,Tatiana
Please let me know what you think about it and if I can create something like this for you.
Here is a glimpse in to my design brainstorm. I like to render all pieces on one page so I can decide if they relate well to one another.
Dining room design.
Here I kind of skipped the usual process and sketched by hand a quick floodplain with elevations and lot of annotations. For this room I wanted to see a space and colors in 3D first and then commit to my design . Every time is a different scenario , and I just decide that from project to project.
